Blue Ridge personnel mobilize to a site, perform surveys of readily accessible areas of the facility, collect representative samples of suspect asbestos-containing materials or lead-based paint, submit the samples to a certified laboratory for analysis, and prepare a letter report summarizing the field and laboratory results. We can also perform XRF surveys of a facility using a portable XRP machine which allows a quicker, less invasive method to determine the presence and location of lead-based paint at a facility. Our reports summarize the material sampled, the number and location of samples, the condition of the material, and our recommendations for handling the ACM or lead-based paint at the facility. We can also provide maps showing the sample locations as well as the location of all ACM in a facility.
Blue Ridge personnel perform project management duties associated with contractor selection, supervising and monitoring the removal of ACM from the facility, and performing clearance air sampling, and reporting.
Blue Ridge prepares Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plans for facility managers and maintenance personnel to use to manage the asbestos in place at the facility. We perform periodic site visits to check the condition of the ACM identified at the facility and provide recommendations for repair, removal, or encapsulation of damaged ACM as needed.
Blue Ridge personnel perform annual asbestos awareness training classes for your employees who work in areas with asbestos-containing materials.
